POMPANO Beach – Family members and friends gathered Sunday evening to remember 18-calendar year-previous Lamarius Walker who was shot and killed just measures from his Pompano Seashore property late Friday night time.
“I really feel like he sacrificed himself for most people,” claimed the teen’s mom.
A group collected on 28th Avenue and NW 2nd Street to release eco-friendly balloons into the sky in honor of Walker.
“This wasn’t a troublemaker. This was not a gang banger. This was a very good child,” reported the community chaplain, Algenelerro Frazier.
Walker’s mother stated he was a college student at Coconut Creek High School. She said he was a twin and was going for walks to the retail outlet to get a bag of chips for his five-calendar year-previous sister when she heard the gunshots and ran outdoors.
The family is inquiring everyone with information to simply call the Broward Sheriff’s Office. So much no information and facts has been unveiled on a suspect.
“He is as well young to be uncovered on the streets useless,” reported his aunt Ashley Walden.
