MIAMI (CBSMiami) – City of Miami police released body camera footage of the moments before an officer shot and killed a 34-year-old man last month.
A portion of that newly-released body camera footage shows a scuffle during a traffic stop.

Police say Antwon Cooper was armed and the officer was forced to fire his weapon.

Cooper’s family filed a lawsuit alleging wrongful death and excessive force.

Miami Police Chief Manny Morales said the department offered condolences and support to the family and that they are continuing to cooperate with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigation.
