Miami Beach Mansion Sold for $30 Million

25 June 2013

The Mediterranean-style mansion at La Gorce has recently sold for a hefty $30 million, making it the highest that the La Gorce Island in Miami Beach has ever seen.

The mansion boasts 9-1/2 baths and 8 bedrooms. It was once the property of Miami banker David L. Paul.

The house, in addition, is described as luxury everywhere. The La Gorce property features hand-painted ceilings and gold-leaf trim with two kitchens, a library, a rooftop lounge and a theater. It also provides a spacious frontage overlooking the Biscayne Bay.

Also known as the Castello del Sol, the mansion also includes a dedicated area for the guests complete with its own bath. It comes, in addition, with a staff apartment and a guard house.

There are several reasons why even the most expensive homes in Miami and South Florida overall successfully sell. With the influx of buyers, especially foreigners, looking into the region’s thriving market, there is little wonder why these homes can fetch their sky-high asking prices.
