Cuba Eliminates Exit Permit Process; Makes Investing In Miami Real Estate Easier For Cubans
Cuba has announced that they will officially be eliminating the need for people to acquire exit permits in order to travel abroad. The travel reform will take effect on January 14, 2013.
According to reports, the reform of the existing travel policy is intended to adjust to present conditions as well as those of the foreseeable future which is why the Cuban government has come to the decision to finally remove the process of exit-permit applications and annul the need for a letter of invitation prior to traveling abroad.
As soon as the reform takes effect, Cubans will only need to present a valid passport and visa of their destination nation in order to travel. Anyone who is eligible for travel will be allowed to remain outside of the country for up to 24 months from the set time and date of department.
